Formula 3 Brands Hatch Photo-shoot

The 10th September 2010 saw a remarkable bit of organisation when Formula 3 cars from the first of the 500cc cars through to a current Euro Series car all took to the track for a photo shoot, and even more importantly, for all to be driven by current rising star Alexander Sims of ART the Grand Prix team.

I would wish to add a huge thanks to all those who brought a car and helped to run it on the day and also to Reg James who made it happen!

Alexander was 4th in the Series Championship at the time of the test day and to demonstrate his ability, and why he was asked to drive our cars, he took pole position at the latest race at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on 17th September.

Having attended to help David Pullen with his Chevron B17 (co-owned with Joanna Bowley), representing the 1 litre cars, I have to say that Alexander was an absolute pleasure to meet. Thoughfull, polite, very helpfull, very interested, (very skinny compared to some of our, ok just about all, our drivers) and rather quick was the lasting impression he made. Members of ART Grand Prix in attendance were equally accomodating so a huge thank you to them and to Autosport who were organising photographer and author of the substantial article soon to be published.

Here are a few of my pictures to make to you go buy AUTOSPORT for the real deal !!! or we could maybe send you a pdf ....

Alexander did look a little shell-shocked when he returned the Cooper to the pits!

He really did seem to enjoy the whole day and every car.
